The final stage of the ‘Who’s First? Autumn 2026’ children’s competition was due to take place on 19–20 September in Kyiv.
On 7 September, at a meeting of the Kyiv Defence Council, a decision was taken to temporarily ban mass events in the capital:
‘Due to the deteriorating security situation in the capital, all entertainment and physical education and sporting events in open areas and in buildings without shelters will be temporarily banned.’
Consequently, the upcoming Run Ukraine events have been cancelled.
We know how much effort the children and coaches have put into preparing for these competitions. However, the safety and lives of our participants, their families, as well as our team, volunteers and partners, are our absolute priority.
